Today, we are thrilled to share the inspiring story of Ashley, one of our exceptional students, who embarked on a transformative journey during her bat mitzvah preparation. Through her dedication to Online Bat Mitzvah Lessons and Jewish Studies Online, Ashley not only excelled academically but also embraced the true essence of mitzvah by undertaking a heartfelt project close to her heart.

Ashley’s unwavering commitment to her Bat Mitzvah and her genuine desire to help others exemplify the core values we instill in all our students. From her early days in the Best Hebrew Course to her weekly exploration of the Torah portion, she demonstrated a deep passion for Hebrew education and Jewish culture.

Guided by Cantor Ben, Ashley wholeheartedly embraced the opportunity to learn Hebrew and delve into the rich traditions of our faith. Our Learn to Read Hebrew program provided her with a solid foundation in reading and understanding the sacred language. Through Bar Mitzvah Classes and Online Jewish Education, Ashley’s knowledge flourished, enabling her to form profound connections within the Jewish community.

However, Ashley’s journey didn’t end with her Bat Mitzvah. Her passion for social justice led her to undertake a unique mitzvah project that embodies the principles of tikkun olam, the act of repairing the world. Collaborating with her father, Ashley chose to collect female sanitary products for women and girls experiencing homelessness.
